Nebraska Drought Improves Slightly

(Lincoln, NE) -- This week's U-S. Drought Monitor shows just slight improvement for the state of Nebraska. Conditions in the eastern third of the state range from abnormally dry to severe drought. The Omaha area remains in moderate drought.

The report does not include any rain this week.

Showers and storms brought more rain to southeast Nebraska and western Iowa this morning. Severe weather chances return by Monday of next week.
