Nebraska March Jobless Numbers Released

The Nebraska Department of Labor reports the state's preliminary unemployment rate for March of this year is 2.5 percent, seasonally adjusted, which is unchanged from the February rate, and up 0.5 percentage points from the March 2023 rate of 2.0 percent.

Nebraska is ranked fourth in the nation.

The department says Nebraska’s unemployment rate has remained steady at 2.5 percent since September.

The national seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for March 2024 is 3.8 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from the February 2024 rate of 3.9 percent and up 0.3 percentage points from the March 2023 rate.
